MINING: CDE Announce Distribution Agreement with Pilot Crushtec

Recent Kwazulu-Natal Business News

CDE have announced the addition of Pilot Crushtec to their global distributor network with responsibility for South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa. Pilot Crushtec will promote the full range of CDE washing equipment including the Evowash sand washing plant, Prograde screens, M2500 mobile washing plant, Rotomax logwashers and Aquacycle thickeners.

Commenting on the announcement CDE sales manager for Africa, Mr Des Crawford said “We are happy to welcome Pilot Crushtec to our distributor network as we seek to build on the early success we have had in Africa to date.”

About Pilot Crushtec

Pilot Crushtec are one of the most established names in the provision of crushing, screening and washing equipment to quarries and mines throughout Africa and the addition of CDE washing equipment is seen by the company as an enhancement of their existing product offering. “As a company with an exclusive focus on washing applications CDE products are widely recognised as the premier choice” says Graham Kleinhans, Director with Pilot Crushtec. “We see significant opportunities for the application of CDE equipment both in the construction materials and mining sectors to allow operators to enjoy increased efficiencies and produce higher quality products.”

Pilot Crushtec employ over 160 people at their facility near Johannesburg from which they service customers in over 40 countries and a range of sectors including sand and aggregate production and the mining of coal, diamonds, gold, cobalt and platinum.

The Pilot Crushtec Agreement

The agreement follows the completion of the first CDE washing plant in South Africa last year with Natal Portland Cement in KwaZulu-Natal. “The presence of a CDE installation in South Africa which has delivered significant efficiency improvements for the customer will assist us greatly in securing further business” explains Graham Kleinhans. “A series of planned site visits will be arranged to the NPC site and will allow us to demonstrate the performance of the CDE equipment to our customers.” This has therefore enhanced the footprint of Pilot Crushtec in Africa and should be successful with aiding the distribution network.
